Header editing question
-
I have downloaded ryans simple web theme and found it fairly simple to use, no pun intended.
I would like to change a couple of things.
First I would like to add a picture on the main header.
Second I would like to get rid of the URL on the header. What commands would I have to alter or add to gain this relatively small change.
theme is available here http://ryanhellyer.net/

You can’t use that theme at WordPress.com, and http://ansanational.wordpress.com/ is a wordpress.com site. You can only apply external themes to WordPress.ORG blogs.

In the midst of trying to upload an image from my computer (and NOT gettting anyway because I couldn’t locate it) and onto a blog post, SOMEHOW, my header image was changed! I have no idea how it changed, but when I went to change it back to the original one which was PERFECT for my blog – the option for the my original choice is no longer offered. HOW DO I CHANGE it BACK?????
I had evening_sail_w64.jpg It is in my media library but I can’t get it to replace the header that is now there instead.

It appears that you’re using the Twenty Ten theme. One of the features of the theme is if you don’t choose a specific header image if will rotate among the 8 images that come with the theme. This is probably why your heading image has changed.
You can change the image to what ever you’d like on the Appearance -> Header page in the admin dashboard. Either selected one of the included images or upload one of your own.
