Header Error

    I have had my blog for 2-ish weeks now and I haven’t had any issues. However, it has been brought to my attention by a fellow blogger from The Daily Post’s : Community Pool that my header is showing up white.
    When I access my website on my desktop or laptop, it is the space picture I have my header set to. But my fellow blogger stated that they were using a Macbook and only saw blank white space on my title page where my space picture should be. I asked a friend to load it on their laptop and it worked fine.
    What is going on and how do I fix it? I don’t want to deter readers by this because I assume it looks terrible. Thanks all!!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

    I think that what you refer to as “my header,” and please correct me if I’m wrong, is the background image set on the Site Title section of the static front page with the Front Page Template assigned.

    It looks white to me, with the exception of the shading around the site tagline. I’m viewing it on my desktop PC with the latest Firefox browser.

    Here’s the front page of the site linked to in the OP: https://belleteawillow.wordpress.com/. What color does the background look to you? Are you referring to this site, or a another?

    Yes, that is the site in question. And yes, it is the header on the title page. I see a picture of space everytime I load the page, but it seems only I can see it that way. How do I fix this?

    I would contact wordpress if they had a support contact other than the forums because it seems like a technical error. I apologize for the confusion. Maybe I am messing something up?

  • Hi @bellephix, this theme just has a few options that are different from most themes. For this one, head to My Site > Customize > Theme Options > Title.

    Set the background image there and save your changes.

    @supernovia,

    The OP claims to see a different background image on the site title section than others who visit the site.

    I see a picture of space everytime I load the page, but it seems only I can see it that way.

  • @musicdoc1 Yeah I was curious about that.

    But what I do know this theme needs a background for the title, and does not have one currently, so let’s have them do that and see if it clears this up.

    I have done this and I still see the same space picture.

    Here is the picture of what I am seeing.

    @bellephix,

    The Title section of the front page of the site https://belleteawillow.wordpress.com/ is now displaying the background image shown in the screen shot you provided in the previous post. Have you resolved the issue?

    I was going to suggest that you check at Customize > Theme Options > Visibility to make sure the Hide Title section box is unchecked.

  • Unknown's avatar

    That box is unchecked.

    If you now see the picture of space when you open the website like I provided in the screenshot, then yep! The issue is resolved.

    Thank you so much!
