Header for each post?

I see many blogs who start a blogpost with a picture, the size of the pictue is as big as the article/blogpost width. (Ex. article is 100 px by 200 px, pic is 80 by 200 px, both are 200)
I see this within different blog sites where they use the first pic as a kind of ‘header’, but when I add a pic it won’t cover the whole width of the blogpost.
I’m using the Adelle theme, is there a way to add a header for each blogpost or to find the sizes of the theme?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The main column has a maximum width of 640.

You can Upload a custom header image under Appearance → Header
Images should be at least 1040 pixels wide. Suggested width is 1040 pixels. Suggested height is 250 pixels.
