  • The image looks as clear as what was uploaded. It’s really not that bad, though the bit to the right is slightly pixelated.

Your theme requires a header image of 960 × 260 pixels, so I recommend designing for that.

Ok, I understand about the 960 x 260 pixels. My issue is that if I have a photo that is for example: 2592 x 1458 pixels / resolution at 72. So how do I handle this file? It is clear on full screen on my computer viewed as is. I could resize the image and have three choices: the image is 36″ x 20.26″ and 2592 x 1459 Pixels and 72 pixels/inch. In order to resize, I have to lock one of these settings. So if I lock the pixel size first and change the resolution to 300, I end up with: 8.64″ x 4.86″ and 2592 x 1459 Pixels and 300 pixels/inch. Then I could lock the resolution and change the Pixels to 462 x 260. Now my once clear picture is very pixelated at 100 % view 1.54″ x 0.87″.

  • Hm, that sounds unnecessarily complicated. Most image editors allow you to adjust the image size by pixels and handle the rest for you.

Which image editor are you using?
