Header help in Shawburn and how to adjust blocks

    Hi! I’m having trouble with my header. I’m using the shawburn theme for my menu and title site and I want my title site to have a picture as its background. I couldnt figure out how to put a picture there so I designed a logo with a the text on top of the picture put the logo won’t extend to the ends of the page, it still has a white border around it and I want to get rid of that border. Please help! I have screenshots too if that will help.

    Also, how can I adjust the size and placement of blocks in general. I know I can use the arrows on the pop-up bar but I can adjust the size further. I uploaded an embedded soundcloud link and the block takes up most of the page, how do I make that smaller so its just at the top of the page.
    Lastly, is there a way I can change the background color of my site to something other than white, how would I do that
    Please help, this is time sensitive. I really appreciate any advice!!

    Hi there,

    Shawburn does not have a “header image” option, and as you have noted the logo setting is not exactly the same.

    There is not an easy way to extend the size of the logo on your current site without upgrading to our Premium plan, which would add more design tools such as custom CSS, which could be used to add a header image to a theme that normally does not have one.

    However, without ugrading, you could instead switch to one of our themes here, which all have a custom header option: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/custom-header

    Of the ones listed there you will see Dara is very similar to Shawburn (they are cousins, if you will) but has a custom header option: https://wordpress.com/theme/dara

    Yes that helps, thank you! Do you know how to adjust the soundcloud, audio block just so I can change the embedded image to be smaller and take up less of the page?

    Any change like this that’s not available in the block settings would require custom CSS. For that, as staff-totoro mentioned, you would need to upgrade your plan to Premium.
