header, help please

  Can anyone help me to complete my Blog?
  My blog is: http://www.garfild.wordpress.com
  I would like to delete the Garfild headline that is placed on the header. How do I do this? Also it would be good to delete the BLOG icon that is placed on my image header.
  The head image is not full size in height. I would like to make it full size and place it in the centre and no to repeat itself. How is that done?
  The archive letters are grey and not white. How do I change this?
  Im have CSS and have used it some, but just strugle to find what is what and when I change the wrong one the whole site gets messed up.

  Try adding this to your CSS:

  #blogname, .description {display: none;}
