Header Image
-
I’m trying to change the header image in my theme. The problem I’m experiencing is that the header image from my original theme doesn’t seem to want to go away from any new theme that I’ve tried. It won’t let me change it, or when I try a different theme it’s still the same picture. Not the new themes picture.

Good Morning – Each theme has a specific page of instructions that will help you configure your site to look like the theme demo. Here are the instructions for The Lovecraft Theme.
To change the header image go to My Sites → Customize → Header Image and then Add New Image and don’t forget to hit Save.
For reference, this is the support guide for Header Images: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-header-image/
If you are needing help with a different theme or have further questions, please let me know.

Thanks! But I’ve done that. It doesn’t change anything. Even the image that Lovecraft is supposed to start with isn’t there. It’s a image from a different theme altogether.

Header Images won’t change with a new theme, it is part of your site. Try going to My Sites → Customize → Header Image and then Add New Image and don’t forget to hit Save. Be sure to save your changes. Then view your site again to see if the changes are reflected.
