    what is the right size for a header image? When I crop and upload a pic, it looks fuzzy/fragmented.

    Hi thebakingisle,

    The header image size will (usually) be different for each theme.

    Some themes will actually specify the header image size in the admin panel when customizing your theme. If not, you can try using the developer tools that are built into your browser to figure out the size. Either Firefox or Chrome will work.

    Your site, for example, appears to be using the Kubrick theme. On the front page, if I hover my cursor over the header image and right click on the mouse button, a menu pops up with an ‘Inspect Element’ item. Selecting that should bring up your developer tools where you’ll see that the container size for your header is 740×192 pixels.

    Be sure to avoid the area where the text is floating over the header image, since that will give you the dimensions for the title area – not the header image.
