header image blurry in oxygen theme

hello,
I already tried to find help for this in older posts, and apparently it already was a problem with other themes.
I have a header image on my blog with oygen theme and it appears blurry everytime, even when I fit it exactly to the recommended header size and dpi (72).
how can I prevent wordpress from automatically resizing/blurring it?

Upload a clean one that’s correctly sized and optimized for the web please to replace it.
