header image cropping
-
Uploaded header image not showing up as a circle as per Writr theme. The default was a generic gravatar placeholder and it was a circle, but when I tried to change it, it’s a square and I tried cropping and not cropping it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m seeing http://jacarrasco.wordpress.com/ as using Ambiru as the theme. Have you changed themes or is this regarding a different blog than you listed?

I am not able to upload my complete logo as my gravatar image- it makes me crop it and just shows 1/3 of my logo. It’s suppose to be the symbol and “Sovereign Beat” next to it. Please help.

@sovereignbeat-Since Gravatars are square, you’ll have to create a separate image especially for it.

jacarrasco,
Do you have a Gravatar image set up?
By default, Writr will display the site owner’s Gravatar in the header. You can change Gravatars by switching the site owner’s email address in Settings → General → Email Address.
If you want to display something other than your Gravatar, as you have done, you can upload a Custom Header Image in Appearance → Header, or you can remove it completely by selecting Remove Header Image.

I do have a Gravitar, but it did not display when I set up the blog. I went the upload new image route and it works, but the image is square, not round like the theme displays. The generic gravitar image that was there when I started the blog was round.

When you log into gravatar with your WordPress.com login info, does it get you to the correct gravatar account? I am concerned that perhaps you ended up with a gravatar account that is not connected to your WordPress.com account. Which would likely cause the issue you are seeing.

For best practices for Gravatar images re: sizing scroll down to right under the video in this post of mine > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/24/gravatar-avatar-blavatar/

I’m sorry. I did not mean to distract.@sovereignbeat
This is what we can see at http://en.gravatar.com/sovereignbeatWe’re sorry, that profile has been deleted.
Perhaps you’d like to log in or sign up for an account? That’s why rootjosh is concerned that perhaps you ended up with a gravatar account that is not connected to your WordPress.com account.
