header image customizer not working
-
i’ve uploaded an image to customize the header image, and in the panel it shows the new image as ‘current header’ but it isn’t the same as the header image (which is the previous ‘suggested’ header image). Is it possible for my new image to be my header.
I also would like to remove the button that is showing in the header, but I can’t see where this is in the console to edit? -
Hi there – If you are working on your site at annabelbradfordblog.wordpress.com, which uses the Gateway theme, here’s what you will need to do to change that image on the front page at the top.
1. Edit the page titled, “Marketing Event Management, from my point of view”.
2. On the right side of the edit view you should see a series of options and settings. Find “Featured Image”.
3. Click on Featured Image to expand it. Inside you should see the picture that matches what you see on the home page. Change this picture to be what you would like.
4. Once you have changed the Featured Image on that page, make sure you click the Update button at the top to save the change to your site.
Let us know if you have any questions as you give this a try. :)
For more info and setup instructions for the Gateway theme, check this out: https://wordpress.com/theme/gateway

Hello there,
To remove that, you would want to navigate to Customize > Theme Options > Homepage Template > and in Hero Content you would want to remove this piece of text.
<a href="https://annabelbradfordblog.wordpress.com/snaps/" class="button">View past event photos</a>I hope this helps.
