Header Image Disappeared! Help…

  OK — this is peculiar.

  I set up my WP blog about 2 months ago. All has been going swimmingly (blog address: http://alexbitterman.wordpress.com). Today, the header image disappeared… but only in Safari. Those using Safari can’t see the header image, while those using Firefox (even on the same machine) can.

  Even stranger… the direct link to the file:

  

  works in Firefox, but when entered into Safari, it returns a 404 error — Page Cannot Be Found…?

  I haven’t changed anything recently, nor have I made any changes to the CSS — it literally just stopped working.

  Any thoughts/ideas?

  Using firefox 2.0.0.4 I cannot see a header on your blog either.
  Perhaps staff are making some backend changes which are effecting your blog.
  If another blogger can’t come up with any ideas for you to pursue then I’m afraid you will have to send a feedback into staff.

  Hey Thistimethisspace:

  Thanks for the update. Strange, I reloaded the image from my hard drive to the server, and now it seems to be working. Maybe WP upgraded something and deleted my image in the process? Very weird, but seems to be working now.

  Yes, there were image weirdnesses going on but they do seem to have resolved. Hopefully they won’t re-appear.

  let the record show the same thing has happened to me today: image header just disappeared! what gives?

  I see a skyline in FF2 and IE7. I don’t have Opera or Netscape installed on this machine yet.

  I can’t send a ticket to support because I’m using a Mac with OS 9 and it can’t “see” the “feedback” link on the rightmost side of the page (any workaround for that,incidentally?)..

  my website is http://exitstrategy07.wordpress.com…..now no image I try to upload is appearing….help.

  1) thanks for the help…..they even moved the “support” link button closer in for us folk using old computers without 1072 resolution…

  2) I was able to add a header image
