Header image distorted no matter what format I choose
-
Hello,
I’ve been trying to upload a header image to my blog. I’ve saved the original image (created in Gimp) as PNG, JPG and GIF, but in each instance the image looks heavily pixalated (and crap). Is there anything obvious i’m missing?
many thanks in advance
Sean

The general recommendation is to size the image the exact same pixel size as the header image size so that WordPress is not doing any image processing scaling etc. There have been reports of quality problems in some cases with scaling of images when the WordPress program is doing the scaling.

Thanks auxclass. I’ve tried that 980 x 120. I still get the distortion. I just dont’ get it?

OK. I sorted it. I just did a brand new one. No so happy with it. Gimp’s limited in its font selection, but it will do for now. Many thanks for your help
