header image does not change

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,
I just set up a new blog and I’d like to change the header image from the standard placeholder, but no matter how I fiddle with the settings, it does not change. I tried choosing from the provided ones, uploading my own, cropping after or before uploading, switching theme, but nothing seems to help. It might be that I’m overlooking some obvious setting, but I can’t seem to fix it on my own. How do I fix it?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Here are the instructions on setting up your custom header images:

Let me know which image from your media library you would like to use and I’ll be glad to help further.

    Hi Liz,
Thank you for your reply. I did everything as it is described in the video but on the home page of my blog, it’s still not working. I now tried changing the header image on the about page, and if you click there, you can see that it worked perfectly fine, but on the home page, I’m still not able to get the results I’d like, which is even more confusing. Maybe it’s the theme that I’m using?

  • No worries :) I’ll help you get it all straightened out. I’ve updated the featured image on your Home page to match the other pages. Is this what you were looking to do?

You can change it by going to My Sites > Pages > Home > Featured Image (on the left).

Yes! Thank you very much, this is exactly what I wanted! And thanks for making it clear how to do it on my own as well. Have a nice day! :)
