Header image does not display correctly
-
I create an image in PhotoShop using your suggested dimension size for the header images. They display correctly in the edit portion of Word Press, but in the live blog, it will not display correctly. I’ve tried 2 different themes, I have scaled the image down, I have tried all that I know to do. It always appears too big and then part of the image is cut off. What am I doing wrong?

4. Featured Images are 676 wide by unlimited height on Sticky posts, and 1280 by 416 as header images on single posts and pages.

Thank you – the current image in our blog is 1280×426, yet it does not display properly.
(Text on customizing Hemingway theme) While you can crop images to your liking after clicking Add new image, your theme recommends a header size of 1280 × 426 pixels.

Hi there!
Your header image is displaying as expected for this theme. While 1280 x 426 is the ideal size for the space given. At this size and ratio your image will not look stretched or pixelated. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that putting words at the very edges of an image that size is going to work well. Different themes crop parts of the header image different ways, or cover parts of it.
I would suggest you find a theme that you like, then create a header image that fits the space given the way you want.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!
