Header image doesn't show in Suits theme
-
My header image is not showing when using this theme. It does show on mobile devices, but not IE, Chrome, or FireFox. I have cleared all cache and I have someone else try also to no avail.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I still need helped, but I’ve figured out what’s happening.
The URL the skin is using to access the image is http. But our office network blocks non-https wordpress traffic. So my post images are showing, but the header doesn’t show here.
Any chance we can get this theme modified to use https, the same as all other images?

Theme modification is done by Staff. When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads like this one. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond. How long does it usually take them to respond? I’m sure they get a lot of ‘modlooks’, I’m just curious.

Hi @mhayden7, typically we try to get back to you within a business day or less, but we’ve been out so we’re getting caught up. Also, you’d be welcome to chat with us here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/contactYour theme will use the https version of the header image when the site is being displayed in https mode, but your site displays over http because of your custom domain. So in your case, the image will load via HTTP.
Since the site can be displayed via http, would they be willing to make an exception in your network for the images on your site? They would be served from sqlspellbook.files.wordpress.com .

Thank you for getting back to me!
I’m sure my office would, but I’m not so much concerned about them as I am other companies that might have the same firewall/network setup. I think my company is probably the oddball one, so I’ve left the image up for now.
I don’t quite understand how the custom domain is related to the issue, but I think that’s just lack of knowledge on my part.
Are there any other options I could explore?
I greatly appreciate your help!

Slight amendment: it looks like only IE has this problem. Which sucks, because I’m an IE fan, so I guess I lose 1 point. :(

If you were using the .wordpress.com domain, it would load up in https every time. Custom domains don’t support https yet (the reasons are fairly technical) so your custom domain will always load in http. We’ll keep working on a way to use custom domains over https.
I can say, though, most browsers and firewall configurations that I’m aware of won’t mind an image loading over http when the site itself is also http. I hope that helps!
