Header image in Affinity theme

  When I try to change the header image it fades out and back in but no change is made. I have tried a few different pictures of my own as well as some of the stock images with the same (non-)result. I have also tried 3 different browsers and different browser settings. Hitting “save and publish” in the top left has no effect, just as trying different image sizes.
  Any ideas?

  Hi Thommi,

  Can you let me know exactly where you’re uploading your new header image? Is it via the Header Image panel of the WordPress.com Customizer or are you assigning the image as your pages/posts featured image?

  Any featured image that you add will override your site’s main header image.

  Thanks for the tip! I figured it out on my own by chance last night. I don’t remember setting a featured image, but that is what I must have done.

  I’m glad you figured that out, Thommi!

  Themes do contain some dummy content when a site’s first activated, which may explain why a featured image appeared without you adding one.
