Header Image not Showing

  I use the Adventure Journal theme and have 6 images uploaded for the header and the option to show a different image on each page. One image I uploaded is not showing and it messes up the blog page. I took a screen shot so you can see what happens when the one image does not show up rather than trying to explain it.

  I have checked my unattached images in the Media Library and all 6 are there, but the one, named cloudheader1.jpg shows linked text, but no image. The other images show up correctly. Also, on the Appearance>header page, 5 of the 6 show, but there is a bullet next to an empty space.

  Earlier this week, I deleted some headers and put in some new. This same image “disappeared” like this within minutes after the upload, so I deleted it and uploaded it again. And as far as I know, until today, it showed up correctly. I remember seeing it on a couple times on my blog.

  Because of the earlier issue, is it possible the file for the photo is “corrupted” and I should just remove it? Or is this something not from my end?

  I hope I explained this all. I was just going to delete the image, but thought to ask about it first.

  If I were you what i’d do is delete the image, create a copy on my computer with a DIFFERENT name, and then upload that renamed image. Sometimes names interfere with things like this.

  But it’s also possible that the file is corrupted. This often gets corrected if you open the image in an image editing application such as Photoshop, copy it, create a new file, paste, save.

  Thank you for your replies. I’ll try your suggestions. I really liked this one picture, so wanted to put it to some use.

  You’re welcome. If you find you can’t correct it, upload it via Media > Add New, copy the File URL and paste it here so we can check it and maybe correct it.

  Thank you, justpi, I appreciate that. I just checked and the image is still there. So maybe it finally cleaned up. But if it disappears again, I’ll post the link.
