There is more than one version of Vigilance and they are coded to run on different software. Please post the complete and clickable URL for the blog in question starting with http:// and then I will answer you.

Thanks Timethief,
I have not yet posted the blog. I wanted he info ahead of time, but will return to this question when I do.
Thanks again,

If its a free hosted wordpress.COM blog then Images of exactly 920 × 180 pixels will be used as-is. I loaded my test blog and uploaded the theme into it to locate this for you. The next time you post I will be looking for the URL for the blog in question.

Hi timethief,
I have a wordpress.com site, newly created, and I am trying to load my own header. My theme is MistyLook and header size is 760 x 190, so I uploaded my 760 x 100 pixel header, but it is still asking me to crop! It will only take half of length and half of my width. I really don’t understand! I’ve set my blog to private, but here is the URL http://petitetuques.com, but really there’s nothing to look at. Until I get my banner issue resolved, I’m going to keep it private. Thanks!

The header image has to be the exact size otherwise the wordpress software has to either enlarge or shrink the photo so that it can fill both dimensions.
Create headers that are the exact size needed.
@weeklygrist, the header image size is always listed right on the custom header page in all themes that support custom headers.
