Header image quality lacking
-
I’ve updated my custom header a few times over the past few days (i’ve created it in photoshop) and when I upload it to the blog…it looses a ton of it’s color quality. It’s only happening to my blog. I just created a header for my best friend and hers was fine. The quality and color are fine in photoshop and when I reopen them…no problem. But as soon as I upload it to the blog…it looks awful. Any suggestions? Thanks much!

Save it as SRGB from Photoshop. Other colour spaces look inconsistent in web browsers.
Also make sure you save it with the exact dimensions required for the theme. If it’s a different size you’ll need to go through the crop process on WordPress.com — and cropping a JPG file will always reduce its quality.

Thanks! I did make the header with the exact specifications so I’ll try the photoshop suggestion, although I think that’s how I have it saved currently. I recently converted to Vilgilance and that’s when I really started to notice the probelem more….hmmmmm.
