Header Image section/bar missing. Appears then disappears.
-
Hello. This question is for WordPress.com.
I installed a theme and this is my first WordPress site. When I click on the “appearance” section in the dashboard/sidebar and then “customize” and it takes me to the next screen with the list of changes that I can make (site identity, colors, header image, background image, menus, etc…), the problem is with the option for changing the “Header Image“.
The “Header Image” option is there for a split second, but disappears before I have time to click on it. I see it, then it’s gone. I am unable to make any changes to my header image.
I need to change the logo that the theme came with, which is in the header. But the “Header Image” option vanishes every time.
Why is this happening and how do I fix this?

Hey there,
What is the URL of your blog? The one associated with your username appears to be unavailable.
Warmly,

Hi there, do you still need help with this issue for your site hosted at Hostgator? If so, you’ll want to contact the support forums for self-hosted WP installs at https://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have a username account there, you can register one on that page.
WordPress comes in 2 flavors: the fully hosted WordPressdotcom (where we are ) and the open source WP (org) project at https://wordpress.org This support guide explains some of the differences between them: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You can find all the support information for sites using the WP (org) software at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page and at https://wordpress.org/support/
Best wishes.
