Header Image thoughts

    I have had this blog some time and i have recently deleted all of the posts that were on it in order to start over.

    My intention is for the the site to be essentially my online daily diary which is fine, but one of the things that i struggle with is the header image.

    I like header images in posts but as a diary format I am finding it difficult to think of what to put there. When I start to post I would imagine that the topics will be not set on one particular thing so post a (royalty free) image on that post will be difficult to do.

    Does anyone else have a diary type blog with header images and if so how do you get around the issue of images that you use?

    Hi there,

    I follow a blogger who always includes completely irrelevant images in her posts. It’s kinda a running joke at this point that the image never has anything to do with the topics in the post – she even captions the images with “Irrelevant pic of…”, “Unrelated photo of…”, etc.

    So you could just go that way – use the Pexels image library and just add the first image it suggests, or something like that. There’s no rule that says the featured image must match the content, and for an online diary-type site as you’re describing you can really do it just how you want :)
