Header Image vs. Featured Image in Twenty Seventeen

    I want my header image to only be on the home page and then have a featured image on the other pages. I can add the featured image but always has the header image in the header on those pages too. It also cuts it off so only want the header image on the front page. Is that possible?

    Hi there,

    This is not possible, no. This is something that’s determined by the theme, and Twentyseventeen does not use featured images as headers for individual posts and pages. It uses the custom header set in the Customizer across the entire site.

    Of course, if you had the Premium Plan, you could use custom CSS to at least prevent the image from appearing on other pages besides the front page, but there’s no way to force featured images being used instead if the theme doesn’t support that.
