Header images not showing

Hi,
I’m setting up a new site/blog and I had two header images loaded. They were working fine, but then one of them just stopped showing up. I hadn’t touched the appearance tab or the media tab at all, and was focusing on writing the content. After trying re-upload the image I had very little success and have ended up with no images showing in the header (save the default if I press restore). I’m using he Pilcrow theme and all images are .jpg and correct px size for header.
Any help is appreciated.

Please go here > Appearance > Header and use the header image uploader there.Understand that in order to avoid the cropper coming into play and the resulting loss of image quality when it does, and to avoid wasting our “media space” we presize every image offline first to the correct dimensions required by the theme and then upload them into our blogs. Do note that any image that is not found in our Media Library cannot be displayed.

Hi timethief,
I originally uploaded the image (which was also sized offline) via the Appearance > header uploader. I understand that if i load it via media library i cannot have it as a header image.
I have done exactly what the support link says I should do. still stuck :(

I am having the same issue. My header was there for several years and now it is gone. I have uploaded it again as instructed but it still will not show.

I clearly see this header image on your blog http://swingdanceleeds.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/banner-r-t7.jpg If you cannot see it then you may have a browser issue. I am using Firefox 10.0.2.Exactly which browser and version of it are you using?
Have you tried using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled?

Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here. http://browsehappy.com/
Do you have third party cookies enabled?

Do you have another browser you can try so we can eliminate browser issues as a cause of your problem?

Yes it is showing for me now also… though I can assure you that I gave up and went to bed. I have changed nothing since the original post.

I visited your blog and I cannot see a header image. Have you done any CSS editing on that blog? If so the header image absolute URL must be entered into your CSS editing styleshoeet changes. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editing-css/#maintaining-your-custom-headerIf you have not done any CSS editing then please use the Help link on the top right hand corner of your Admin page to report your issue to Staff.
