Header is not showing
-
From just only 2 articles, my headers aren’t showing. Does anyone have a solution? Super thanks in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I presume by “headers” you mean “header images.” I find that the custom header displays on each single post that I checked. On which articles do you find that the header images are missing? And, please, what theme is activated on the site?
-
I’m sorry, maybe ‘title’ is a better word in stead of ‘headers’. With two articles the ‘titles’ aren’t showing.
This are the stories from 2 December and 25 November.
I don’t actually know anymore what theme I selected. It’s a free one. How can I see what my theme is?
Thank you so much!

Thanks for that information. The posts with the titles missing on the blog page are the following:
- Hoe mijn verwachtingen anders uitpakken, https://femkedekkers.wordpress.com/2016/12/02/hoe-verwachtingen-anders-uitpakken/, and
- Great minds think alike, https://femkedekkers.wordpress.com/2016/11/25/great-minds-think-alike/
The titles do display on the single posts. I’m going to call for staff attention. Please wait for staff to respond.

You’ll find the theme name near the top of the WP Admin dashboard page, https://femkedekkers.wordpress.com/wp-admin/, in the “At a Glance” section.

Hi there,
Just FYI, as long as you’re not using a retired theme you can also see the theme in the action bar that appears bottom right when you view your site :)
You have those two posts set to the Aside post type instead of the Standard post type. Aside-format posts don’t show the post title on the main feed, only on single posts. You can edit the posts and change them to the standard format if you want the titles visible on the front page.

I didn’t/don’t find the theme in the action bar of https://femkedekkers.wordpress.com/, and I find that it’s frequently absent from the action bar on sites of user’s whose topics I’m responding to. I’m doubtful that it’s a retired theme in each case. Is there an option to hide the theme name from the action bar somewhere?
-
For any non-retired theme the action bar should indicate the theme. It’s possible to hide it via custom CSS, I suppose, but no option in settings to do that. In this case, though, the OP is using Ecto, which has been retired.

Thank you for these helpful answers! I changed the settings to standard posts and the issues are solved. Very grateful :)

That’s probably the explanation in a lot of the cases I regularly come across. On some days, half or more of the sites that I visit via the forums don’t have the theme name in the action bar. I find myself often asking the OP for the theme name. Occasionally, I’ll find it in Page Info > Media.

Interesting. Next time you come across a site like that, please let me know. This thread would be fine if it’s still open, or you can start a new one. I’d like to make sure this isn’t a bug.
