Header issue with site (freshy theme)
-
I recently upgraded to the CSS editor. I went to add a small Java widget to my template and for some reason, my header is all kicked over and home button section is messed up.Once I noticed the error, I deleted the new section and have even reverted my CSS back to the original settings with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
http://damnshinsplints.com/I am using the Freshy theme. I would try re-installing it but it is no longer in the available theme area.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It is not available in the theme area because you are already using it. You could switch to another theme and then switch back to see that it is still there. We don’t get access to the templates for our blogs here so I assume you mean adding something to a sidebar, post or page. In any case, certain things are stripped out for security reasons and this includes javascript. If you want to try to find a workaround then let us know what the widget does or what you are trying to achieve and we might be able to point you in the right direction.
To fix your layout issues try deleting everything in your custom CSS area and saving the stylesheet again. It looks like you have some unwanted changes in there causing issues with heights and margins.

Also, javascript is not allowed here for security reasons, and besides that, it cannot be inserted into CSS. CSS is simply a styling document that the browser uses to render the elements in the HTML.

I was trying to add a widget from Daily Mile: http://www.dailymile.com
so if i switch to another theme, could I just switch back to Freshy and the header spacing would go back to normal?
I can’t even find where the spacing issue started. I have looked using Firebug but nothing jumps out to show why it would move over so much.

The problem appears to be a margin in #header and a height in .current_page_item a:link and/or .current_page_item a:visited. I would recommend following the steps at the end of my previous post to re-set your CSS back to the theme default.
From the dailymile site:
Widgets will not work on wordpress.com hosted sites.
I’m not much of a runner so I don’t have any alternatives to recommend.

I have been able to fix most of the issues but can’t seem to remedy the header.
I cleared out all the customer CSS and it went nuts. i have switched to another theme, cleared out CSS, then gone back and still having issues. I am looking at another site using the same theme but can’t find anything.
Any other ideas?
Also, when I go to other pages, the navigation bar links don’t show the Current Page coloring. i have messed with the height as this fixed the same issue on the homepage but so far no luck.

Oh, I did notice that the Header is attached to the right side so if I make my browser smaller, it will move over and align. Not sure if that will help . . .

Your navigation works fine now for me, even the current page colour works. To force the header to play fair try adding the following line at the bottom of your custom CSS:
#header {margin:0 auto!important;} -
Thank you Hallluke!
It worked beautifully. The navigation took a while to figure out but fortunately all is back to normal. The weirdest thing is how all of it got so jumbled in the first place. i pasted the js and BLAM! i can see why not adding it for security reasons but still not sure how it changed so many things on the site.
but anyways, thank you for all the help. much appreciated!
