Header Keeps Reverting to Random Images

I am on the free plan using Twenty Eleven theme, wanting to set up a travel blog. Site is not yet live until I have ironed out issues like this one.
I want a fixed header image. I have gone into the Themes – Customise section and uploaded the image I want then saved. This looks fine until I go out and look at the site, to find it has picked a random image from the ‘suggested’ list.
The ‘randomise’ buttons make no difference whether clicked or not.
I used Twenty Eleven for a blog four years ago and it was great. Much better it seems than it is now, and in particular the old dashboard was better.
Any suggestions for the header welcomed.

Hi there, sorry if this sounds obvious, but did you click the blue Publish button at the top of the Customizer after unchecking the box for random images?
If that wasn’t it, please let us know what OS and browser you are using as well as the browser version.
Also, even though you’ve not posted the site URL, that is the most important piece of information we need to give you accurate info. :)

Hi justjennifer. Yes this did the trick, thanks so much as it was driving me mad.
I thought it was weird there was no publish button evident but after reading your response dug further and found it behind the ‘gear’ symbol (if that’s what it’s called.) in the customise area. it strange in Twenty Eleven that it is not up front and obvious. I think it used to be under the original version of the dashboard.

Hello again, glad to know you got this worked out. :)
The Customizer is a Work-In-Progress and is a part of WP core. The ability to save Customizer changes as Drafts is a relatively new feature which is great if you want to share those changes with someone else before making them “live.”
