Header Not Resizing on iPad
-
I would like to opt out of using the OnSwipe for iPad. I don’t like how I lose the design of my site when using OnSwipe so I want iPad viewers to see my full site. But when I (and others) view my blog on the iPad, the header does not automatically re-size for the size of the iPad screen, to it gets cut off on the right side. It re-sizes on my iPhone perfectly (it looks just as it does on my computer but a smaller version) and does not cut off the header. I looked on your site to see if there is any support for this, but I could only find information on the OnSwipe cover page but I don’t want to use that. Please advise.
Also, is there any way to send out a “test” blog to only myself? I’m trying to get my blog to show just a summary when I e-mail out a new post, so that the viewer then clicks on the link to read more and it brings them to the main blog site. I saw there’s a place to click on summary and I want to test if that works. Please advise.

Yes, I see what you mean by the header not resizing.
The header resizes on iPhones because you have the Mobile Theme activated under Appearances > Mobile.
Currently, this mobile theme does not apply to the iPad.
Because of the way the Fresh & Clean theme was designed, the right side of the header image gets clipped as the browser width decreases. You can test this out by making your browser window really narrow. Because the iPad’s browser width is really narrow in the portrait orientation, the header is clipped on the right. On the other hand, if you view the site in the iPad’s landscape orientation, your header stays intact. People seem to have solved this problem by not putting vital imagery on the right side of the header image. For example, Seed to Salad has placed their logo on the left side of the header, and pattern on the right. If you do not want to change your header, I would suggest using the Twenty Eleven Theme which doesn’t clip your header image.
Don’t forget to disable the OnSwipe theme by going to Appearance > iPad
To make a post private, go to Edit Post and then click “edit” next to Visibility under Publish on the right side.
