Header Photo Height

  Is there a way to increase the height of the header photo (make it look like a normal photo)? I look to the preview themes and see this wonderful full sized photo on the nashita theme, but when I go to add photos it basically forces me to crop the majority of the image? Any way for me to make a page that looks like the preview?

  If you are talking about this demo, http://nishitademo.wordpress.com/ , and are talking about the lit cylinders under the word “Pattern,” that isn’t a header image. That is an image in a post. Click on the title of the post (Pattern).
