header photo is very blurry!

  i uploaded a photo for the header on my blog and it is so blurry!! I cannot figure out why this is happening and I really do not like the way it makes the cover page look! the photo is so big, which is another thing….is there a way to make it smaller? I would love your assistance in the look of my page. thanks!

  Hello there,
  You may find that images you re-size after uploading into your WordPress.com blog lose some color and sharpness. If you want better image quality use an image editing application to optimize and re-size copies of your images to the specific dimensions required by your theme then upload and insert those copies.   I dont get it. The picture is crisp and clear on my computer. When I upload it to the blog, without making any changes at all, it turns super blurry! I am very very frustrated!!
