Header Question

  I don’t want the header to appear in my blog pages, but once I publish it I want it to appear in the blog icon – for example, the square icons in the Freshly Pressed section that have the banner header. Can I have the long header for that icon but not in the pages of my blog? Thanks to anyone who can offer some guidance!
