Header sizing issues
-
Hello,
So I have tried to customise my own header. The suggestion says 1180 x 160 pixels but this completely cuts off the header on both ipad and phone viewing. It also, when it crops down, makes the image quality very poor.
What size should fit all three perfectly?

Hi thelingerieraven,
It’s normal that the header gets cut off in some devices, since the proportions for the header in different devices are different. A good approach would be to create 2-3 headers and set them to show up for specific screen sizes.
If you are a premium or business member you could simply do that by adding additional CSS code. Let me know if you need further help.
Have a nice day!

Hello,
Thank you for the input.
I am not a business or premium member. I am waiting for them to offer monthly payable packages at the moment because there is not a short term time I am going to be able to afford an annual pass.
What would be the best size for the main computer based header then? Because clearly the recommended sizing is not accurate as it still requires you to crop in?
Kind regards

If you are not able to use different headers for different screen sizes, then certainly on some displays there will be parts that will be cut off and all work-arounds I could think of involve CSS code. Therefore I would still use the suggested size but I would then edit the header image and put the most important content in it in the middle so it won’t matter that much that it crops the sides on some devices.
However, if you show me your website I might be able to think of something else :)
