Header Tabs

I was curious to find out whether or not there was a way to make the header tabs act like drop boxes in a sense where all the links within that header tab or page drop down when you hover over it with the mouse pointer. I am using the Mystique theme by digitalnature. My site is here…

You can create a custom menu and have drop downs from Parent pages to “child” pages and/or Categories to subcategories and/ or custom links in it. Please see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

Thanks, however, I am still not seeing how to make sub-menus or links that drop down under the header pages. The only thing I see is that you can do it in the sidebar which I do not want to do.

I believe drop-downs in the header is theme dependent.

In order to have sub-pages AKA “child” pages you need to create and publish them first and then add them to your custom menu. Pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
The same is also true of sub-categories you need to assign them to posts before there is any data to be displayed.

    Pages

    1. You create a custom menu. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

    2. You add the Parent pages you want to display and arrange them in the order you want. Then you add and drop and drag the subpages below the appropriate Parent pages, and when you have everything arranged in the menu that you want you save the menu.

    3. You add the Categories you want to display and arrange them in the order you want. Then you add and drop and drag the sub-categories below the appropriate Categories, and when you have everything arranged in the menu that you want you save the menu.

    4. You add any custom links your wish to include.

    5. You go to the “theme location” module at upper left on the menu page. Select your custom menu name from the pulldown labeled “primary location.” Click the save button in that module.

    6. You refresh your browser so that it isn’t possibly pulling a cached page, and view see your new menu with Parent pages and dropdowns to sub-pages.

The way I ended up being able to add sub-menus to the header pages was through “page attributes” when adding a new page. It is not a perfect solution but workable. Thanks.
