Header Text

  I go to admin.
  I select header.
  I change header text to brown.
  It shows up on the preview as brown.
  I click save changes.
  I go to the header.
  The text is still in white.

  What am I missing?

  (theme: Big Brother)

  I just tried this on my test blog using the same theme. I went directly to → Appearance → Header and I was able to change the header text color (both the site title and tagline) by using the color selector there.

  Maybe you need to get out of the customizer and go directly to → Appearance → Header
  Header Text
  Show header text with your image.
  __Text Color

  Don not forget to click “save changes”. Try it again and if it does not work then let us know:
  (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
  (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/
  (c) Exactly what you experience including what any error reports you receive state.

  Hi,
  I´m also struggling with the header text. I would like to change the color of the header (sub) text: “din oberoende partner vid byggteknisk konsultation” at www. nordinspekt.wordpress.com to a darker grey color, does anyone know how to do this? Do I need do buy premium in order to get access to the headers html or where else can I find the codes? I can only find them for the pages.

  Hi Time Thief

  I did follow all those steps, and the preview shows it in brown, but the site does not.

  I’m using a MacBook Air
  Latest Firefox version
  No errors at all; just no visible results from the saved change.

  Hi kellysalasin

  The problem is that the green color scheme you’ve chosen forces the color of the title text to be white, and the options under appearance>header can’t override them.

  If you change back to the default color scheme you will be able to change your title text to another color.

  The other alternative is to upgrade to WordPress.com Premium and make the change with custom CSS. Here’s more info about the Premium Plan:
