header toolbar

I can’t access my Dashboard at the top of the page, there’s just a grey line there. Where has the bar gone?
-
Please try logging out, clearing the browser cache, logging in then pressing ctrl and F5 (if you are on Windows) apple+r (Mac) F5 (Linux)

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, there’s still no change. Any additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I’m using Internet Explorer, Windows XP Pro, and I have the standard Microsoft security system. In any case, I have not changed my computer or its programs or anything like that; the Dashboard bar simply disappeared a couple of days ago. In fact, this happened a few months ago but it reemerged after a day or two. This time the problem seems to be more persistent though…

Please try logging out, clearing the browser cache, logging in then pressing ctrl and F5. What do you mean by the standard microsoft security system? And do you have an adblocker program running?
-
I cleared the browser cache and followed the rest of the steps, but I’m still without a dashboard. Regarding the security system, I meant the one that came with the computer, the “Microsoft Security Center.” I don’t use any other security measures. I can still access my dashboard by clicking on the link to my blog on wordpress.com. But it’s not visible once I’m on the actual weblog itself (http://alex9907.wordpress.com).

I ask again. What browser version are you using? It’s important as I’m trying to dupe your issue.
The admin bar is javascript. I’m wondering if something on your computer has turned off javascripts or is blocking it.

This may be a temporary fix – try using this link and see what happens http://alex9907.wordpress.com/wp-admin
The reason I asked about internet security programs is because when you have one running you need to turn-off the widows xp firewall. It’s also because adblock programs like the one in McAfee are causing problems. -

OOPS! I’m sorry :(
Unless drmike can come up with something and I’m pretty sure he would have said so if he could then, forum volunteers do not have backend access to blogs so you’ll have to send staff an email support at this domain.
