Header trouble (Digg 3 Column)

I changed my custom header a while ago, and I left a spot for a picture or something else. I haven’t decided on anything yet, but I’d like to put “i write reviews” or “…i need a picture” in there so it isn’t an empty box… when I try to put either in, the header turns the same color as my blog’s background.
I’ve included links to pictures, if you need them… My blog is here.
The banner with an empty box… This one works.
The empty place where either the “i write reviews” or “…i need a picture” banner should be.

I guess I don’t understand the question. Have you uploaded a new header with the text in there? And did you change the title of the file you are uploading?

If you make changes to the image but save it as the same file name
then for some reason the wp servers won’t show the applied changesso you need to do this to get changed results example.jpg to example1.jpg

I changed the title, and it’s still not working.
I know it uploads the image… I get to the screen where I can crop it, and the image that I crop is the one I want as my banner. It says that the upload was successful, but my blog’s banner space is empty.
I’ve also tried using .png and .jpg file types.
… It’s weird. I uploaded this image and it worked. Maybe something is wrong with the banner I’m trying to put in? I’ll just redo it…

Well, I’m not sure what the difference between the two banners, but I’ve got one up now that says “i write reviews”… Thanks for responding.
