Header-Widget Colour/Pic

  this is my game blog…
  I want to change Widget Title headers throughout my blog, with 2 tone style/shading with a background image located inside the widget title…?
  I tried using this below… and others… but without luck…
  clearly have no idea what I am doing with CSS…

  now I’m assuming i have the sizing all wrong of both the coding and the pic size..?
  the sites stylesheet is blank so this is effectively the first input…
