header widget missing/cant create pages at top of theme

  Hello wordpress community, im trying to add new pages/menus to the header of my wordpress theme, but when i create a new page and add it to the menu, it doesnt appear in the widgets section (add custom menu) Also the header widget is not showing only sidebar widget is available. What to do in such a situation, please help. Thanks in advance

  forgot to mention that i use wordpress 4.7
