Header will not appear?

  The header on my blog will not appear. The theme as far as I am aware is supposed to have one, and it ‘loads’ and tells me it’s there but never appears, no matter what I do/try. You can click on the space where it is supposed to be and it is a hyperlink to the home page. It just will not show up. Is there something I’m missing?
