Header.photo help

    I’m new to WP and I want to set up my header. I have the Bueno template and it supports custom headers. I want to enter a photo that is 198 pixels high. That SHOULD fit top to bottom, but when I upload the photo it shows up much taller than the header with the “crop” square showing that it does not fit.

    How do insert a photo of different size (150 x 198 pixels) that I do not wish to crop?

    The specified size for the header image on the Bueno theme blog linked to your username is 930 × 198 pixels. The best image quality is retained if the cropper does not come into play and images of exactly 930 × 198 pixels will be used as-is. Create an image of the exact size required, then go here > Appearance > Themes > Header

    You cannot change the specified size for the custom image header on any free wordpress.com theme unless you have CSS editing experience, purchase the annually renewable CSS editing upgrade and do the editing work yourself.

    If you do purchase the CSS upgrade then note there is no Staff support for CSS editing and precious little Volunteer support. The custom image uplaoder will non longer be used. You will not only be changing the header image size but you will also be required thereafter to link to the header image in your CSS edited stylesheet. WordPress.com have provided a CSS editing preview function so you can try before you buy. > Appearance > Edit CSS.

    Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM. CSS editing does not allow you to remove footer links to the theme designer or to wordpress.com.
