Headers in Sela Theme
-
Hello,
I have a basic account and am using the Sela theme. The white box for the ‘Front Page Title’ does not automatically appear on top of my featured image on my front page—just the black text, which is difficult to read. Also, I am unable to get my title and subtitle to appear at the top of the page.
Here’s the link for quick reference:
https://selademo.wordpress.com/Are these differences from the Sela demo theme due to limitations with the basic account? Or have I overlooked something somewhere?
Thanks in advance for your patience and advice.

Hello,
I think if you disable the header image it should solve your problem. Try going to Themes > Customize > Header Image and click hide image. It should leave your featured image for your front page untouched, but get rid of the image in your header.
I hope this helps, Let me know if you have any questions.

hihi, is there anyway we can get rid of the front page title box pls? i tried that by not including a title, but i cannot save the changes… pls help. thanks much :)

It is possible to get rid of the entire Title box using CSS, if you are a premium member.
If you do have a premium membership and want to remove the title box go to your CSS customization page and add this text.
.site-branding{
display: none;
}Unfortunately with out CSS I don’t see a way to remove the header completely, you can turn off the text and the image, leaving just the blank rectangle, but it can’t be removed completely.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

@ruth94658080 — Hi! Do you mean you want to remove the white box on your front page (that currently says: “ORANGETEE – YOUR CHOICE AGENCY…”)? You can do that with CSS, if you’d like.
If you decide to add the Premium upgrade so that you can add custom CSS, go into Customize > CSS and paste in the following to hide the whole box:
#post-57 { display: none; }You can try it out without upgrading in Customize > Custom Design > Try now, then click CSS and paste the code into the box. This will allow you to preview the change, but won’t save it on your site without the upgrade.
Let me know if you have any questions! :)
