Heading and description format changed
-
Hi Rick,
Thanks for all the screenshots! @designsimply and I worked together today and we were able to test in IE9 and confirm the problem. It’s a pretty strange bug!
Any idea how long it will be before the bug is fixed? I’m just curious–I’m not going to hold you to anything. ;o)
We’ve reported the bug to our theme team. The theme team reviews bugs every week, but how long it takes to fix each one will depend on how many are ahead of you, what other issues are going on in theme support, and how much time is available to spend on bugs that are only happening in some cases. So, I couldn’t really give a specific time frame, but I can tell you that bugs do get reviewed on a regular basis.
Now we’ll just need to wait for a reply from the theme team as soon as they have a chance to look at this issue.
Thanks again for all of your patience with this and for working with us on those screenshots! WordPress.com has the best customers!! :)

Well, we’re all on the same page now–that was quite a journey. :o) I sure appreciate the stellar diligence that all of you have shown!!
It’s easy to have patience with true professionals!!!
I will look forward to hearing what the theme team has to say. Appreciate the update!
Have a great weekend!
Rick

Hey Rick,
Sorry if it took us so much time but we finally managed to fix the issue with IE9!
Cheers,
Thomas

Hi, Thomas.
I appreciate the follow up on this! I’m using IE10 now so I can’t see the change. If it’s not supposed to be an issue in IE10, then I’m wondering if maybe it’s not showing correctly because of a setting change that was done when your team was trying to work this out before. As I recall, since the heading wouldn’t show correctly, so Ben took out the etched border. Right now it’s showing as follows.
Thoughts?
Thanks again!
Rick

Heya Rick,
I went and took a look at the code which was put in by your team and it looks like it just removed that border. I removed it temporarily and took some screenshots so you could compare. Here is what your site now looks like in various systems (assuming you go in and remove that code once again, which I’ve replaced):
Mac: http://note.io/15monbG
PC w/ IE10: http://note.io/1fuBzCF
PC w/ IE9: http://note.io/15mnT5aThere is clearly more gradient showing through in the Mac and IE10 versions, but that’s just going to be a difference in how the browsers are designed.

Okay, thanks for the samples showing the difference. I definitely don’t want to go back to that etched border, so let’s just leave it like it is.
Thanks again!
Rick
