headings in post

  Dear Mrs, Mr,

  I had the following question : I am subscribed to several bloggers, and when I receive posts from them, they always start their posts with : “in this item : …” and then they list several headings (kind of a summery) before their start their actual post. When you click on the heading, you immediatly arrive at the appropriate text. I hope you understand what I mean (I am not an expert :), but how do you do that ?

  If possible, send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.

  Dear Mr, Mrs,
  thank you for your email.
  I uploaded a screenshot of the home page of my blog to my media library (name file : “LTE”).
  As you can see on the screenshot, something is wrong with the featured image slides, as it contains :
  – the title of my post (“TOP BEACH DESTINATIONS OF THE WORLD”) : this is perfectly fine for me.
  – the beginning of the text of my post (which is not what I want as it is esthetically nog good).
  I only want the title to be shown in the featured image slides (and not the text of the post itself). Is that possible, and if so, can you tell me how ?

  PS : I changed the post after I made the screenshot (with only the title “COMING SOON” and no text), since it is esthetically not good the way it was.

  It seems the Hero theme doesn’t support to remove this text. However, you can and custom text in the excerpt area of the post editor: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts

  If you leave this area empty and add a ‘space’ (by hitting the spacebar on your keyboard) the text will be removed from the slider.
