Headings not working

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I’m attempting to insert a couple of headings in to my article. I’m selecting a heading block (have tried H2, H3 and H4) and the text is changing in the editing page, but when I preview the page, or visit it as public, the text is plain with no formatting. I have tried deleting it, re-adding it, moving the text etc. to no avail. Any suggestions?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi animpoliteconversation,

This might be a stupid question, but I´m asking just to be sure. Have you clicked on the Update or Publish button in the top right corner in your editing page? Remember also to refresh your browser afterwards, to make sure any recent changes are included.

If you´ve already tried that, could you please provide a link to the page you´re struggling with and I´ll see if I can help you out a bit more.

    Hi jjberg,

Not a stupid question at all, but yes I have.

    Here’s the link:

You can probably discern this for yourself, but “Definitions”, “Inevitability and Impact”, and “A personal introduction” are all supposed to be H2 (and are displayed that way on the edit page).

Perhaps it’s a Mac thing? Although I don’t see why it would matter on a browser-based interface?

    Regards,
    Kristian

    Hi Kristian,

Yes, I see that “Definitions” is h2, but the two others are h3. This should not be neither a Mac problem or a browser problem.

It´s hard for me to help you with this since I can log into your site and try it out for myself. But I´ve marked this post so you´ll get help from a staff member. They will be able to help you out more than me =)

  • Hi there,

Those headings all three show as h2 for me if I view your post’s source code in the browser inspector.

Did you manage to get this figured out?

    Hi kokkieh,

I did, yes. Sorry for not changing this thread to “resolved” earlier. I discovered that when I completely logged out and visited my page, the headings were displaying correctly. I logged back in, and they stayed displayed correctly. I’m happy to put it down to a quirk of the internet.

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards,
    Kristian.
