Headlines Theme – Need help with Categories

I don’t understand why I can create a subhead under a category (next to the blog) for a particular post and not have it show up when I go to another post. I want to put the second post in that same subhead but the subhead doesn’t show up under Categories.

Specifically, when I go to the Categories section, the subhead “Hope for Heroes” is there under Blogs. But the subhead Hope for Heroes does not show on the category section next to EVERY post under Edit mode….it only shows up next to SOME posts–apparently all the posts that I just created. Old posts do NOT show the subhead Hope for Heroes next these post in Edit mode.

Hope this makes sense. Hard to explain!

This means that I cannot put certain posts where I want.

I’m not sure what you mean by “subhead,” but perhaps the following may be of assistance.

“Hope For Heroes” is a category in the first six posts from the top on the archives page http://jennikeast.wordpress.com/category/blogs/. It is a tag on the final three posts shown there. This can be easily corrected at the post editor of each of the three errant posts. Just change the tags to categories.

Sorry, I meant to say “sub category”…not subhead. I will check out toay what you just told me and see if I still have questions. Probably would have helped you more if I had used the correct terminology! Thanks. :)

No worries. You can change the tags to categories at All Posts too, with the “quick edit” tool.
