My theme shows excerpts of the content of the child pages displayed on the front page of my site. I only want the image to appear – not the excerpts. Is there a way to fix that using CSS? http://blissfulangelie.wordpress.com/

It sounds like you want to hide excerpt text on the home page such as the text that starts with “I am so thrilled to finally try this amazing.”
To hide just the paragraph, you can add this to your Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:
.home .page .entry-summary { display: none; }The “.home” part at the front of the selector limits the change to the home page only.
To also hide the page title from that same area, you could update to this:
.home .page .entry-title, .home .page .entry-summary { display: none; }You might also like:
