Height of header way too high.

  My header is so high, it takes up the whole screen. The reader has to scroll down to see my blog. How do I reduce the height? Please don’t get too technical.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you are talking about the header image, I would try uploading a smaller image. Your theme, Hemingway Rewritten, is built to accept and display large header images, so if you upload a large one, it will display a large one.

  I uploaded Hemmingway, but changed my mind and put in my own imported background. I don’t know how to get rid of Hemmingway. If I did, and then cropped my imported background, would the height of the header change?

  Different themes have different settings for the custom header, so switching to a different theme would change the size of the header image.

  The great news is that you can easily see how your site would look with a different theme without actually changing it! If you go to your Dashboard, and in the left column, go to Appearance, and then Theme, you’ll be brought to a theme showcase. You can search for theme options, or just start browsing both free and paid themes. If you hover over a theme and click “Preview”, it will take you to a preview page where you can see exactly how your blog would look with that theme. Then, if you like it, you can activate it!
