Heiwa theme not compatible with Toolset Blocks
-
Hi team,
It seems my theme (Heiwa) cannot display the custom fields in a content template I have created with Toolset.
If we change the theme to, for instance, ‘Astra’, then it works. Twenty Twenty two also does not work.
I have read that it might be related to the ‘the_content()’ function not being added properly.
Is there anything I can try to fix it? From simple actions, like install a new plugin, to more complex ones, like change the theme code, etc.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hey there,
Since Toolset blocks is a third-party page builder and plugin, we will be limited in our ability to provide support. My recommendation would be to reach out to the plugin developer directly for support with making the Toolset compatible with these themes. It would be up to the plugin developer to ensure compatibility with common WordPress themes.
That said, if you want to poke around and see if you can get the theme to work with the plugin, I would recommend creating a child theme of Heiwa. We have a great help document on this process here:
This feature is available on sites with the WordPress.com Business or Commerce plan. If your site has one of our legacy plans, it is available on the Pro plan. You can make many changes to your theme’s appearance using custom CSS and build upon its default functionality using plugins. If you’d like to go further and make changes to your theme’s underlying code, then you could consider creatiOnce created, you could make changes to the theme directly to try and ensure compatibility with the Toolset blocks plugin. You could also reach out to a developer to see what options there might be for a custom solution.
Hope this helps!

Hi buddy,
Thanks a lot for the tips, I think I’ll play around and try to make it compatible.
