Hello, Expand on click is suddenly not an option, this really affects my page,

  Hello,
  Expand on click is suddenly not an option for some items? this really affects my page to have these inconsistencies.
  Why is it still working on post pictures, stopped on some and I cannot select it on new ones? It’s very frustrating.

  This isn’t a problem with you or your site—it is a WordPress problem in that, for the third time this year, they have accidentally removed the function due to a lack of validation when making other changes. I have raised it on the forum and with support, but all I have been given so far is a poor workaround that is unsatisfactory for my site’s function.

  Thanks for the reply and knowledge John! I had seen something like this had happened before. I don’t pay enough for customer support, but knowing all of this, I certainly won’t be upgrading, may well have to check other providers, as a designer, it’s already a big problem for me. In the mean time I will hope someone else’s complaints get’s it sorted.

  I have the same issue you all have.

  Its annoying because, as OP said, is the third or 4th time already this year. When the feature was available, I updated more than 200 pages to “expand on click”. It also allowed me to make images smaller on the site that the user could see while reading. Its a mess.

  The workaround I have been given includes creating some json files, and messing with the main template via SMTP or whatever. None of which I know how to do, and I guess the vast majority of people using WP do so for the convenience of drag and drop and blocks.

  So yeah, its really annoying
