hello sacred path

    Hi,
I’m back (again). My first post is scheduled for publication tomorrow. My question is:
When I am on edit mode, there’s a visual and html tab right top of box. If I want to use a drop cap for the 1st letter of my 1st word, I put the html code for it but when I clicked on “preview”, it was showing the actual code, not the drop cap.
Does this mean that I can’t change the template in ANY way, even for simple things like introducing a drop cap or a change of color? Or should I have clicked on the html tab? Do I have to use CSS for even the smallest and most minor changes?
Thanks in advance for your patience and expertise. My template is fadtastik.

If the code is correct (no errors) for the drop cap, then it should work, even in preview mode.

Paste the code you are using for the drop cap here in the forums between backticks ( ` ) typically the key to the left of the #1 with the ~ on it.

    <b style = "font-size: 22px; float:left; color: blue; font-family:times">T</b>hanks!

    Hi Sacred Path,
I did what you said for the drop cap and it did not do it. If you look at the code, I wanted the T in “thanks” to be the drop cap.

Actually looked at that one sacred path. It didn’t do it, but eventually found another one that worked (after 3 hours of surfing the net). Panaghiosadam actually provided me with a code. I appreciate your reply.
